Invention of psychic protection opened way to more advanced skills in this field of mental powers. If it is possible to reduce damage from reflected spells, wouldn\'t it be possible, with intensive training of course, to absorb incoming reflected spell completely? Answer to such question is YES. It is possible, using skill mental absorption. When mental absorption is enabled, it allows one to use his mana reserves to absorb and negate effect of incoming reflected mental attack. To successfully absorb such incoming spell, psionic must have available as much mana as is base casting cost of the incoming spell. Successfull absorption usually consumes much less than full casting cost, but to be triggered without risk one must have full casting cost available. Cost of absorption is usually about half the casting cost, and the better knowledge of skill the lower absorption cost. However, psionic should not use mental absorption carelessly. If mental absorption is triggered when psionic doesn\'t enough mana to support it, absorption fails and psionic\'s mind gets overloaded, hurting him even more than if mental absorption wouldn\'t be i effect at all.
