Touch of eternity spell can evoke victim's greatest fears. But one fear generally trumps all others: Death. With Call of Eternity the nightblade can emphasize this specific aspect but with a mischievous twist. The spell no longer brings forward the terror of the moment, it rather emphasizes what follows: the eternity after death, the time when all the problems are gone and nothing would trouble the victim anymore. The touch of eternity spell now takes on a somewhat different meaning, making defeat no longer such a bad thing. Perhaps even a thing to be welcomed. Because the spell now presents such a contrast between what is and what could be, should one simply stop resisting and welcome eternity, it gains much more power from dejection, despondence or depression, just as it gets amplified much more with sadness, despair, apathy or hopelessness. Furthermore, the idea of eternity lingers in the victim's mind for a short time (2 rounds), distracting them and thus causing penalty to magical resilience. Additionally, while victim is affected by call of eternity, most effects that allow reflecting or avoiding the spell do not activate for afterlife spells as the victim is, on some deep level, willing to get hit by such spells. Also, victim is 90% less likely to retaliate to afterlife enchantments. Finally, while under the effect of call of eternity the victim doesn't respond so aggressively to afterlife enchantments. Also, the victim doesn't notice failed casting of afterlife spells to use the opportunity to hit the caster.
Dependencies:Increases bonus damage of touch of eternity from the mental spelldowns by extra 10%
Dependencies: call of eternityThe duration of call of eternity effect is increased by 50%
Dependencies: improved call of eternityIncreases bonus damage of touch of eternity from the mental spelldowns by extra 15%
Dependencies: extended call of eternityIncreases bonus damage of touch of eternity from the mental spelldowns by extra 20%
Dependencies: enhanced call of eternityWhen nightblade sends an opponent to their afterlife, she can also draw the lifeforce the enemy leaves behind for herself. This lifeforce then protects her when she would die. Each time she receives damage that would kill her she is left with single hitpoint and the extra damage is taken from this lifeforce shield until it is exhausted and nightblade finally succumbs, too. This protection is also granted when the opponent is killed by non-afterlife spell or even by someone else in the group but the bonus is only 1/4 as good.
Dependencies: advanced call of eternityIncreases the amount of hitpoints drawn from enemy when they cross to afterlife.
Dependencies: afterlife giftDoubles the duration of afterlife gift.
Dependencies: improved afterlife giftIncreases the amount of hitpoints drawn from enemy when they cross to afterlife.
Dependencies: extended afterlife giftIncreases the amount of hitpoints drawn from enemy when they cross to afterlife.
Dependencies: enhanced afterlife giftThis spell floods the victim's mind with powerful images of afterlife. The time after death when nothing hurts anymore, when one can fully enjoy the sweet joys that were denied during hard life. This causes the victim to be more inclined to just give up, accept defeat and move on to the sweet afterlife that the spell so vividly presents. This is fully a psychical attack so it mainly utilizes mental negative enchantments: dejection, despondence, depression, sadness, despair, apathy, hopelessness and also from fooled eyes because that can change victim's perception of reality. There can be only one of dejecetion/despondence/depression and one of sadness/despair/apathy/hopelessness, so we are talking about three main spelldowns (other spelldowns also provide boost but tiny compared to the mental ones). Additionally, the spell also receives extra bonus if victim is currently affected by stairway to heaven, heavenly attraction and especially from call of eternity. The images of sweet afterlife do not disappear instantly (lasts 2 rounds), the victim contemplates the afterlife where violence is not a threat and therefore suffers a penalty to physical resilience. The victim is also more willing to accept the defeat if they think about the sweet afterlife so they cross the threshold to afterlife 0.5% hitpoints earlier than normal for each short-term effect from spells from Call of Eternity branch, as long as call of eternity is one of them. Furthermore, the call of eternity is also much more alluring when the victim is thinking about the sweet afterlife.
Dependencies: advanced call of eternityIncreases damage of sweet afterlife by 10%
Dependencies: sweet afterlifeIncreases the duration of sweet afterlife aftereffect by 50%
Dependencies: improved sweet afterlifeIncreases damage of sweet afterlife by 15%
Dependencies: extended sweet afterlifeIncreases damage of sweet afterlife by 20%
Dependencies: enhanced sweet afterlifeInduces the feeling that heaven is almost within reach and the attraction is overwhelming. As this attracts the victim's very essence, its body rots and decays from this dissociation and takes body damage. While this attack goes after body integrity of the victim, it does so by essentially persuading the body to destroy itself so it mainly utilizes mental enchantments: dejection, despondence, depression, sadness, despair, apathy, hopelessness and also from fooled eyes because that can change victim's perception of reality. There can be only one of dejecetion/despondence/depression and one of sadness/despair/apathy/hopelessness, so we are talking about three main spelldowns (other spelldowns also provide boost but tiny compared to the mental ones). Additionally, the spell also receives extra bonus if victim is currently affected by sweet afterlife, heavenly attraction and especially from call of eternity. While the victim is distracted by the heavenly attraction they cannot focus so well on execution of their special attacks so they suffer penalty to precision. The victim is also more willing to accept the defeat if they feel the heavenly attraction so they cross the threshold to afterlife 0.5% hitpoints earlier than normal for each afterlife effect, as long as call of eternity is one of them. Furthermore, the call of eternity is also much more alluring when the victim is feeling the heavenly attraction.
Dependencies: advanced call of eternityIncreases damage of heavenly attraction by 10%
Dependencies: heavenly attractionIncreases the duration of heavenly attraction afteraffect by 50%
Dependencies: improved heavenly attractionIncreases damage of heavenly attraction by 15%
Dependencies: extended heavenly attractionIncreases damage of heavenly attraction by 20%
Dependencies: enhanced heavenly attractionThis spell brings the victim's mind to contemplate the stairway to heaven, the idea of ascending to one's final resting place. While climbing those stairs is quite a feat it has a joyous reward so it is worth the effort. And as the spell makes it so desirable, the victim becomes less interested in life, putting less effort in combat, manifesting as a penalty to physical power. While the victim is thinking about climbing the stairway to heaven the effect of calling of eternity is more powerful on them. The victim is preoccupied with the idea of stairway to heaven for a few moments only (2 rounds) and after that time they would feel more ready to experience it for real, manifesting as mind damage as the effect wears off. If the victim also suffers the effect of sweet afterlife and heavenly attraction, the nightblade can draw power from the damage burst and use it to cast spells much cheaper for a short time. The nightblade can also cast her spells in a way that they resonate with eternity. This way stairway to heaven doesn't wait until its affect wears off by itself but triggers the moment the victim gets affected both by sweet afterlife and heavenly attraction. This is enabled with eternity resonance castmode.
Dependencies: advanced call of eternityIncreases damage of stairway to heaven by 10%
Dependencies: stairway to heavenIncreases the duration of stairway to heaven enchant 50%
Dependencies: improved stairway to heavenIncreases damage of stairway to heaven by 15%
Dependencies: extended stairway to heavenIncreases damage of stairway to heaven by 20%
Dependencies: enhanced stairway to heavenWhen nightblade has afterlife gift active, she can use it to empower her spells that persuade victim to pass to the afterlife with the emotional imprint of the next life. The victim becomes more willing to let go, not waiting for getting the last spark of life beaten out of them, and they let go when they have 0.5% hitpoints more than necessary for dying when hit by attacks from Call of Eternity branch. In other words, the amount of hitpoint the victim needs to survive after being hit by an afterlife spell is computed not from 0hp but from 0.5% hitpoints.
Dependencies: advanced afterlife giftMoves the threshold for letting go of life further 0.5% up
Dependencies: shared afterlife giftMoves the threshold for letting go of life further 0.5% up
Dependencies: improved shared afterlife giftMoves the threshold for letting go of life further 0.5% up
Dependencies: extended shared afterlife giftMoves the threshold for letting go of life further 0.5% up (for a total of 2.5% for all shared afterlife gift skills).
Dependencies: enhanced shared afterlife giftThe different spells needed to entice the victim to let go, cross the threshold and enter the next chapter of their existence, they all take time to cast. And their aftereffects strengthen the other spells but do not last that long which makes it hard to fully benefit from all of them. The nightblade doesn't want to stop the victim from making the leap to eternity so they can rush them to the pearly gates. They can cast the afterlife-based spells 6% faster, getting the reinforcement effect for more spells in a row.
Dependencies: advanced sweet afterlife + advanced stairway to heaven + advanced heavenly attractionAdds additional 6% speedup to afterlife spells.
Dependencies: rush to pearly gatesAdds additional 6% speedup to afterlife spells.
Dependencies: improved rush to pearly gatesAdds additional 6% speedup to afterlife spells.
Dependencies: extended rush to pearly gatesAdds additional 6% speedup to afterlife spells.
Dependencies: enhanced rush to pearly gatesAs the nightblade led their opponents to defeat, they realized that the passing over from life to afterlife is a powerful event. It is a boundary between two realities and as such it has incredible tension. And tension means energy, or power. With this skill the nightblade can keep in contact with the opponent for a brief moment and draw power from the other side. This effectively gives the nightblade significant amount of mana (based on the opponent's level) each time nb delivers the finishing blow with afterlife spell. This protection is also granted when the opponent is killed by non-afterlife spell or even by someone else in the group but the bonus is only 1/3 as good.
Dependencies: advanced rush to pearly gatesIncreases the amount of mana gained when delivering finishing blow by 20%
Dependencies: power from afterlifeIncreases the amount of mana gained when delivering finishing blow by 50%
Dependencies: improved power from afterlifeIncreases the amount of mana gained when delivering finishing blow to 50% of maxmana (or the amount from extended, whichever is higher).
Dependencies: extended power from afterlife + advanced escape from mortal coil + advanced calling of paradise + advanced feeling of eternal blissRecovers mana to full after finishing blow.
Dependencies: enhanced power from afterlifeHaving sent so many enemies over to the other side, the nightblade now has an almost instinctual link to the afterlife. This allows her to make the suggestions her spells impart even more powerful. All afterlife spells deal extra 4% damage.
Dependencies: advanced rush to pearly gatesAdds 4% more damage.
Dependencies: afterlife linkAdds 5% more damage.
Dependencies: improved afterlife linkAdds 5% more damage.
Dependencies: extended afterlife linkAdds 7% more damage.
Dependencies: enhanced afterlife linkEven though nightblade usually works with shadows, her ability to summon the images of the joyful afterlife allows her to partially step out of shadows and persuade light-dwellers that the next life is much more attractive that the current one and current one should be abandoned. To get there the nightblade needs to be able to utilize her magic even during the day, and with celestial light this is exactly what she can do. All afterlife-based spells become 15% cheaper during the day.
Dependencies: advanced rush to pearly gatesAll afterlife spells become further 15% cheaper. It is multiplicative reduction so 15% reduction from the result of 15% reduction from basic celestial light.
Dependencies: celestial lightAll afterlife spells become further 15% cheaper (also multiplicative)
Dependencies: improved celestial lightAll afterlife spells become further 15% cheaper
Dependencies: extended celestial lightAll afterlife spells become extra 15% cheaper
Dependencies: enhanced celestial lightWhen nightblade's spell is the blow that finally allows the opponent to admit defeat and cross the path to the next world, the nightblade gets a reward for helping with the crossing. The reward takes a form of short-term massive increase to mana regeneration rate, based on victim's level. This protection is also granted when the opponent is killed by non-afterlife spell or even by someone else in the group but the bonus is only half as good.
Dependencies: advanced afterlife linkExtra 10x victim level fast manaregen
Dependencies: tithe of the ferrymanThe fast manaregen lasts 50% longer.
Dependencies: improved tithe of the ferrymanExtra 10x victim level fast manaregen
Dependencies: extended tithe of the ferrymanExtra 20x victim level fast manaregen
Dependencies: enhanced tithe of the ferrymanThe victim hears the paradise calling to them. And when paradise is calling, what point is there in remaining in this life when the next one beckons so clearly? Listening to the calling of paradise causes the victim to gradually give up the will to live (in the form of mental damage). Additionally, the spell also receives extra bonus if victim is currently affected by aftereffects from spells of Call of Eternity branch, especially from the call of eternity. The calling of paradise does not get silenced instantly (lasts 2 rounds), the victim listens to it when they should be focusing on their own magic, causing penalty to magical power while calling of paradise sounds in their mind. The victim is also more willing to accept the defeat if they hear the calling of paradise so they cross the threshold to afterlife 0.5% hitpoints earlier than normal for each afterlife effect, as long as call of eternity is one of them. Furthermore, the call of eternity is also much more alluring when victim is hearing the calling of paradise.
Dependencies: advanced celestial lightIncreases damage of calling of paradise by 10%
Dependencies: calling of paradiseIncreases duration of calling of paradise aftereffect by 50%
Dependencies: improved calling of paradiseIncreases damage of calling of paradise by 15%
Dependencies: extended calling of paradiseIncreases damage of calling of paradise by 20%
Dependencies: enhanced calling of paradiseThis spell gives the victim a sample of the feeling of eternal bliss that is to be had once they pass the threshold to the afterlife. The feeling lasts only a short time (2 rounds) and after it fades away the victim is more ready to experience it for real. The readiness to pass to the afterlife manifests as mind damage when the affect wears off. While the victim is experiencing the feeling of eternal bliss they do not focus on battle as much, suffering a penalty to hitroll. The victim is also more willing to accept the defeat if they feel the eternal bliss so they cross the threshold to afterlife 0.5% hitpoints earlier than normal for each short-term effect from spells from Call of Eternity branch, as long as call of eternity is one of them. Furthermore, the call of eternity is also much more alluring when victim is feeling the eternal bliss. Finally, once the feeling of eternal bliss wears off, if the victim is hearing the calling of paradise and feeling heavenly attraction, the nightblade can draw power from that impulse in the form of fast manaregen that provides a short but massive boost for her mana. Just like stairway to heaven, feeling of eternal bliss can be triggered prematurely with eternity resonance castmode using the same mechanism.
Dependencies: advanced celestial lightIncreases the damage of feeling of eternal bliss by 10%
Dependencies: feeling of eternal blissIncreases the duration of feeling of eternal bliss by 50%
Dependencies: improved feeling of eternal blissIncreases the damage of feeling of eternal bliss by further 15%
Dependencies: extended feeling of eternal blissIncreases the damage of feeling of eternal bliss by additional 20%.
Dependencies: enhanced feeling of eternal blissEach time the nightblade helps the opponent to release the earthly bonds and cross to the next world, she can draw more power from this event. Capturing the energies released by the crossing to afterlife allows the nightblade to temporarily increase her mana reserves based on victim's level. This protection is also granted when the opponent is killed by non-afterlife spell or even by someone else in the group but the bonus is only half as good.
Dependencies: advanced afterlife linkAdditional 2xlevel maxmana bonus.
Dependencies: release of earthly bondThe maxmana bonus lasts 50% longer.
Dependencies: improved release of earthly bondAdditional 2xlevel maxmana bonus.
Dependencies: extended release of earthly bondAdditional 3xlevel maxmana bonus
Dependencies: enhanced release of earthly bondAfter the nightblade experienced so many opponents passing the threshold to the afterlife she developed a deeper understanding of this mechanism and she can draw additional power from it. Each time nightblade's opponent crosses the threshold to the next world from her afterlife spell she gains a power-up in the form of bonus to her magical power, based on victim's level. This protection is also granted when the opponent is killed by non-afterlife spell or even by someone else in the group but the bonus is only half as good.
Dependencies: advanced afterlife linkIncreases magical power bonus by extra 2x level.
Dependencies: power of the thresholdThe bonus from power of the threshold now lasts 50% longer.
Dependencies: improved power of the thresholdIncreases magical power bonus by extra 2x level.
Dependencies: extended power of the thresholdIncreases magical power bonus by extra 4x level.
Dependencies: enhanced power of the thresholdWith this spell the nightblade makes the victim contemplate an escape from mortal coil, from all the pain, from the hurt, from all the bad things that happen. As the idea of escape lingers in the victim's mind, they become more susceptible to other spells that push them towards the afterlife. The effect of this spell wears off very quickly (2 rounds) and when it does, the victim is a little more sold on this idea and becomes a little more detached from their body. This disconnect between body and spirit manifests as body damage. While the victim is distracted by the thoughts of escaping the mortal coil they do not focus so much on defense and they take penalty to armor class. The victim is also more willing to accept the defeat if they are thinking about escaping the mortal coil so they are willing to escape it at 0.5% hitpoints earlier than normal for each short-term effect from spells from Call of Eternity branch, as long as call of eternity is one of them. When the tension between body and spirit is released, if the victim hears the calling of paradise and tastes the sweet afterlife, the nightblade can tap into that power and recover some mana from it. The amount of recovered mana depends on the victim's level. Just like stairway to heaven, escape from mortal coil can be triggered prematurely with eternity resonance castmode using the same mechanism.
Dependencies: advanced celestial lightIncreases the damage of escape from mortal coil by 10%
Dependencies: escape from mortal coilIncreases the duration of escape from mortal coil effect by 50%.
Dependencies: improved escape from mortal coilIncreases the damage of escape from mortal coil by 15%
Dependencies: extended escape from mortal coilIncreases the damage of escape from mortal coil by 20%
Dependencies: enhanced escape from mortal coilThe nightblade has learned how to make her suggestions much more powerful if she invests more mana in them. With this castmode she can use double the amount of mana to make each afterlife spell feel to the victim like the eternity is pretty much within reach. This makes the victim more willing to give up, effectively increasing damage by 20%.
Dependencies: feeling of eternal bliss + calling of paradise + escape from mortal coilIncreases damage bonus to 28%
Dependencies: eternity within reach + enhanced feeling of eternal bliss + enhanced calling of paradise + enhanced escape from mortal coilIncreases damage bonus to 40%
Dependencies: improved eternity within reach + advanced nirvana within sightIncreases damage bonus to 55%
Dependencies: extended eternity within reach + image of final rewardIncreases damage bonus to 75%.
Dependencies: enhanced eternity within reach + echo of eternityWhen the victim is hit by one of nightblade's powerful suggestions about crossing to the next world, they can almost see the nirvana that awaits. They are more willing to just accept defeat instead of fighting on. This in effect means that the amount of hitpoints left after the damage is done needs to be 10% higher than before for the victim to keep fighting. In other words, if nightblade deals X damage then normally the victim would succumb if they have less than X hitpoints left, with this skill they need to have 10% more. Here "remains" means however much is left above the level when the victim would die anyway.
Dependencies: advanced calling of paradise + advanced escape from mortal coil + advanced feeling of eternal blissAdds extra 10% to the required remaining hitpoints.
Dependencies: nirvana within sightDependencies: improved nirvana within sight

Dependencies: extended nirvana within sightIncreases the required remaining hitpoints by further 25%.
Dependencies: enhanced nirvana within sightThis enchantment imprints the image of the final reward to be received by the victim after they leave the mortal world and cross to the next one. As long as the victim has this image burned into their mind, they are willing to just let go and leave their life behind. They would now die at 1% higher than normal, from any damage (this doesn't influence specific finisher skills like lethal blow or disintegration). In other words, if enemy would normally die at -10%, with image of final reward they would die at -9%. If they would die at 0%, with image of final reward they would die at 1% of maximum hitpoints.
Dependencies: advanced tithe of the ferryman + advanced release of earthly bond + advanced power of the thresholdIncreases death threshold by extra percentage point
Dependencies: image of final reward + advanced shared afterlife giftIncreases death threshold by extra percentage point
Dependencies: improved image of final reward + advanced power from afterlifeIncreases death threshold by extra percentage point
Dependencies: extended image of final reward + advanced echo of eternityIncreases death threshold by extra percentage point
Dependencies: enhanced image of final rewardWith all the magic at her disposal to persuade both the mind and body of the victim to accept defeat and just give up, the nightblade has learned how to use the mind-body duality to attack one but affect the other and vice versa. When casting her afterlife combat spells, as long as the victim hears the call of eternity, the nightblade can convert up to 10% of the damage from mind to body or vice versa, whichever is more beneficial. She doesn't even need to devote extra capacity to it because she is attacking the underlying essence of the victim and she uses the duality of mind and body to attack in the best way possible.
Dependencies: advanced nirvana within sightCan move additional 10% of damage to more beneficial resist.
Dependencies: duality of mind and bodyCan move further 10% of damage to more beneficial resist.
Dependencies: improved duality of mind and bodyCan move additional 10% of damage to more beneficial resist
Dependencies: extended duality of mind and bodyCan move additional 10% of damage to more beneficial resist, for a total of 50%
Dependencies: enhanced duality of mind and bodyThe more the victim can imagine themselves in the afterlife (i.e. the more afterlife-based aftereffects of it has, as long as call of eternity is among them), the more eager they are to transcend. And the nightblade is at hand to help with that. She can cast afterli branch spells faster, the more aftereffects the victim has, allowing the victim to transcend to afterlife sooner. The spell delay is reduced by 1.3% per aftereffect.
Dependencies: advanced nirvana within sightExtra 1.3% delay reduction per aftereffect.
Dependencies: hasten to transcendenceExtra 1.3% delay reduction per aftereffect.
Dependencies: improved hasten to transcendenceExtra 1.3% delay reduction per aftereffect.
Dependencies: extended hasten to transcendenceExtra 1.3% delay reduction per aftereffect, for a total of 6.5% per aftereffect, totalling 45.5% if all aftereffects are active. Note that getting all aftereffects active at the same time requires very high bonus to casting speed.
Dependencies: enhanced hasten to transcendenceWith this enchantment the nightblade can prepare the victim for the unending joy that awaits, all they need is to just accept defeat and give up and all the problems will be resolved, all that will remain will be perpetual, unending joy. Just accept defeat. With this enchantment the victim is more willing to enter the door to eternity before they would normally do so. The victim would cross the threshold when having 0.5% hitpoints more than normally needed to die (usually at 0hp).
Dependencies: advanced nirvana within sightIncreases the death threshold to 1%.
Dependencies: prepare for unending joyIncreases the death threshold to 1.5%
Dependencies: improved prepare for unending joyIncreases the death threshold to 2%
Dependencies: extended prepare for unending joyIncreases the death threshold to 2.5%
Dependencies: enhanced prepare for unending joyJust as the nightblade can rely on power of the night to power up her spells, she can also induce an echo of eternity within the victim. When echo of eternity triggers, it can increase power of nightblade's spell from Call of Eternity branch by 50%-100%. The chance for triggering depends on the number of afterlife effects (1.5% per effect).
Dependencies: advanced hasten to transcendence + advanced duality of mind and body + advanced prepare for unending joyIncreases bonus from echo of eternity to 100%-200%
Dependencies: echo of eternityChance to trigger increases by 50%.
Dependencies: improved echo of eternityIncreases bonus from echo of eternity to 200%-300%.
Dependencies: extended echo of eternityIncreases bonus from echo of eternity to 200%-500%
Dependencies: enhanced echo of eternityEach time the nightblade delivers her suggestion about eternal joy in the next life, the victim feels compelled to take an extra step towards it. This manifests as an 3% additional damage from those spells as the victim subconsciously dashes towards the threshold to cross to afterlife.
Dependencies: advanced image of final rewardAdditional 4% damage
Dependencies: graceful dash towards eternityAdditional 5% damage
Dependencies: improved graceful dash towards eternityAdditional 6% damage
Dependencies: extended graceful dash towards eternityAdditional 7% damage
Dependencies: enhanced graceful dash towards eternityThe nightblade has become extremely skilled at persuading her enemies that this life is no good and they should just give up and move on to the next one. This spell is epitome of that, it packages despondence and despair in one cast, together with image of final reward and prepare for unending joy to both show the victim how futile it is now and how great it would be, should they give up and move on.
Dependencies: advanced graceful dash towards eternityHaving assisted literally crowds of souls with their passing to afterlife, the nightblade has learned how to put her suggestions into an overdrive. By increasing mana expenditure for her afterlife-based spells she can cast those spells 20% faster, allowing her to keep more afterlife effects on the enemy which in turn makes many of her effects more powerful. While this castmode is extremely powerful, it is also extremely expensive as the castmode not only increases cost but also allows casting more spells in the same time, draining mana reserves that much faster. Therefore it works best if nightblade can rely on additional support. Crowds of souls can only provide the power during combat as there is no connection to the afterlife when one is not fighting.
