Tiefling



Long ago the world was not so easy place to live as it is these days. Maybe if
we exclude Labyrinth of Fear :). Many humans were forced to make a lot of
difficult choices. And some make really tough ones. One of those choices was
asking demons for help. They of course helped humans and many regretted it
deeply. But some demons had different plans with humans and used them as
servants. Some used their magical abilities... there were many uses for
humans. Needless to say, some even bonded with them and their offsprings are
called tieflings. They have natural fire affinities as their demonic ancestors,
and while they are easier to set their way as evil doers, it doesn't mean
they can't be good.

Due to their affinity to fire tieflings are often drawn to sorcerer class.
Others prefer to be more physical and those usually end up as shaolins on
Firewalking branch. There are also known cases of tiefling fighters wandering
the world in search of fire weapon which would allow them to exploit their
skill with fire. And then there are those drawn to spirituality who make a
career as monks who can manifest their faith of fire.

Traits:

Fire Affinity is something tiefling got from their demonic ancestors. Their
burning blood not just increases ANY fire damage done by 10%, but also reduces
ANY fire damage taken by 10%. Finally, a tiefling with fire weapon has all
Extended Attributes increased by one level (this only applies with weapons
that naturally do fire damage, not if they somehow temporarily acquire it,
i.e. via some skill or effect).

Evil Affinity is something which any tiefling who wants to be good needs to be
aware of. Their demonic backgrounds are always testing their will to resist
doing some evil stuff. Each action that makes tiefling more good has lesser
effect than for other races but action that leads to evil has a more powerful
effect. Additionally, if the tiefling wields a weapon that is usable only by
evil characters, all their Extended Attributes are increased by TWO levels.
