This is another defensive skill for swordsman. After activating, you start to concentrate for blocking enemy\'s attacks rather then for attacking. You will became harder to hit, and your chance for parry an attack will increase. But it has also some drawbacks...your hitroll and damage is lowered. This block can be used instead of Low Block in Wall of Blades combo, changing it to Palisade of Blades if you add Dual Slash just before Scissors Slash. Palisade of Blades does not reduce damage the swordsman receives so much but provides much higher bonus to parry so it is suitable against opponents who may struggle to get past swordsman\'s parry and thus make swordsman\'s damage reduction irrelevant. Palisade of Blades also reduces offensive abilities but that is largely unimportant, given that swordsman makes pretty much no attacks when doing this combo. Dual Block can also be used in Blade Redoubt combo. It starts with a round in Low Block while using Wall of Steel finesse. After the round you hit the opponent with Pierce Enemy and for the next melee round you need to use Dual Block while keeping the same finesse. You then complete the combo with Dual Slash and Scissors Slash. This provides lesser bonus to parry but massive damage reduction. Finally, if you start with Dual Block and Wall of Steel finesse and follow up with Wasp Sting and for the next melee round you switch to Low Block while keeping the same finesse, you can follow up with Pierce Enemy and Wasp sting to complete Thousand Blades Stance combo. This combo gives even higher parry bonus than Palisade of Blades but lower damage reduction.
